Our Recommendation
At EVA we recommend Platinum Performance Products for the management of problems with Insulin Resistance and Metabolic Disease. The product developed by Platinum Performance has excellent bio-availability, which essentially reflects how efficiently the horse is able to convert the product in the jar into the “units” necessary in the body for management of the disease. There are many other products marketed for managing this syndrome in the horse, some are quite good and some are not. We suggest, in most instances, it is wise to spend the extra money for what we consider the superior product. Once the horse’s hormonal dysfunction is under control, on some occasions it is possible to switch to a lower quality product for maintenance.
