Horse Radiographs Digital / Analog

Radiographs or x-rays are an important diagnostic tool in lameness evaluation. With the advent of digital radiography, radiographs can be viewed in the field, easily duplicated, and emailed. At Equine Veterinary Associates, we use the Elkin Digital System, which is rapid and dependable.

With clients that prefer a more economical option, we still offer analog radiographs which are developed in a darkroom on x-ray film and as such, are not available for immediate viewing. Farriers often prefer analog films to monitor the progression of cases because they can be easily compared in the field as a case progresses.

If you would prefer digital radiographs, please be certain to specify that request when making your appointment.
