Orange County Potomac Horse Fever Vaccination

Potomac Horse Fever was a serious threat to horses in our practice area years ago, but the prevalence of this clinical disease is almost non-existent at this time. While it is possible that some of the horses we see with mild fevers and diarrhea might be PHF cases, it does not present a serious threat in our practice area at this time.

For this reason, we do not routinely vaccinate for Potomac Horse Fever.
